Sanctum Cay Run... - Guild Wars Forums

Ok, so I was having Sanctum Cay run for me and as he got to the part where the Vizier summoned the boat, the runner somehow managed to avoid the Mantle from coming... He told us all not to go with him, and it seems there is some line that you cross that triggers the Mantle...

Any ideas?

Yeah, it works just like that. Not sure about the trigger though... I always thought it was they came afetr you killed some, so then if none died, no more would come.

After you trigger the Vizier, go to the right, and just stand on top of the little ridge, the let the Mantle try to kill you. With decent armor the won't touch you, except for 9-10dmg from the searing heat... nothing in other words. Stand there, and wait, then get on the boat.

yea, i do this all the time for sanctum. you dont even need to go on that hill to the right as liquid stated, sometimes they dont even come that far.

its easy if you ever do the mission(as in fight it)you will notice the patrols..all you have to do is avoid the patrols which is really easy and if you do that then no one attacks at the end. also (and i don't know if this is a new thing) i fought with a few guildies through the mission and we killed everything up to the boat and nothing attaced us once we got to the boat(i think it was just a game glitch)
